As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

We, therefore holds the key post, because he is direct touch with the common man. Any good program has a bad side. Any cure should aim at relieving pain and should never end up painfully. Land acquisition shout not hamper the agronomy of this Nation. By taking away 1000 htr of land from 200 cultivators we are also grabbing the lively hood of 1000 land less labor thriving there. The proposed factory may provide employment for only 200 people from affluent class. Land less is also left jobless. Govt. should select land with least damage done to the sons of soil . . .

BJP Govt. must take into confidence the views of opposition parties before passing any bill. We need to find a way out plan which suits each of us or at least most of us.
