All schools should have arrangement s to collect old books from the students .The text books could be reused for Two to three years could be distributed to needy students .government should ensure there is no change in syllabus. The used books should be disposed by schools to paper mill or paper collection agencies and the amount collected should be used for gardening, projects or buying large tv's for school to show educational programs like discovery, national geography. To ensure paper is reused.

Even before we talk about waste management,we need to address a critical thing, the manual labor who handle garbage are not provided basic safety items like glouse, mask, head gear.Even in big metros this is evident & only when we provide proper safety can we discuss issues of segregation.
Trucks which ply around carrying garbage are still open which goes around spilling.
No proper sites for dumping & treatment.
I think once the basics are strictly adhered,we can move one up.

AIM : Strict garbage SEGREGATION RESPONSIBILITY OF basic HOUSEHOLD and OFFICE level, NOT by garbage collectors. Incentives for those that follow and fines for those who do not .
IMPLEMENTATION:a )Education of garbage disposal workers and using them as endpoint contact with households and offices to ensure segregation .Giving THEM incentives e.g. monetary for ensuring THEIR ZONE follows the rules .Encourage competition among zones.
b)Services of specialists to handle the collected waste.

My few cents on this.
Any product electronic electrical in nature it needs to be collected back by power department in a month once.it can be recycled to any working equipments.
Other domestic wastes plastic/ rubber/ tyres should be recycled as it will not recompose we should make use of it as molded to lawn bricks nd use in path ways, ruberised in nature not slipery and water will also go to ground.
Paper kind of waste sent it to govt press for recycling.
segration should be perfectly done

Noble sires though it is hard it is not impossible. We are using plastic daily but are unable to find a way to decompose it. Once I was watching Natgeo on television and they told about the innovative ways to do the same. Plastics can be used to make roads more durable by mixing them in the process and that doesn't need to burn the plastic. In the same show they told how plastic could be used to make fuel and the good thing is it has a positive effect on the vehicles' engine.both are made Indian

It's Quite heard to achieve a goal of waste management until people become aware of organic and inorganic waste. Once they know it then the waste would be no less then gold ... Because inorganic can be recycled and organic can be used as fertiliser and one important thing METHANE USING GOBAR GAS PLANT..
SO MAIN AIM IS TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF INORGANIC AND ORGANIC WASTE..

Every household, shop, restaurant should keep dry and wet waste in a bag and keep outside their shop after 9PM. Garbage collector should collect this. Government should distribute bags at reasonable price OR free of cost for 1 year. Back bag: wet waste and white bag: recycle waste. If any restaurant/pani puri wala throw garbage on road then there should be heavy penalty. There should be fear in every citizen then only they will not throw garabage on road, river etc.

There are 2 kinds of waste generated from houses
-Dry Waste-All the recyclable items can go to local radhiwala (Can also generate money) and reusables can be donated to any NGO.
-Wet Waste-This can be managed by setting a compost center with very minimal cost & space and the waste can be dumped and can be managed without any smell.
Attached is the easy way to deal with the waste at household & Community Level. This is proven to be a sustainable idea to manage complete waste -
