1. not a single drop of rain water to be vested.smart village, town or city to be made rain water conservation centers.
2. water to be recycled in many ways. House hold water which is in good condition like water outflow from aquaguard etc to chaneled to garden and provide water to plants and trees.
3. only Indian style of toilet to be used because wester style of toiled needs five times more water then Indian style.
4. No one can spoil our river water by throwing severage or chemicals in it.

water is a very complicated issue in our country, there is many reasons for it
1we are delaying our policy and low making interval 1987 to 2012,it is huge interval!!
2 our ministry has no such type of collaboration with water department like MOEF,MRD,etc.
3 Lake of more awareness in high income generated people.
4 we are compromise our bigger solution with a non sense political advice and argues for vote bank

Today 70% water used for agriculture. If we manage use of water in agriculture sector we can able to conserve water. For this we can use sensors based on IOT concept. For example, we can make such type of sensors which helps us to know about demand of water for particular soil. If we arrange these sensors in soil, it will inform people who stay near farm whenever water supply will increase more than requirement. So we can stop flow of water and conserve it.

Water shortage is national problem and any long term solution will have to integrate flood prone rivers/lakes with drought prone areas--inter-regional water body linking has to be the strategy; coupled with this must be aggressive rain water storage and recyclng clean water from waste water systems. This can integrate the countrythru an appropriate mission approch and promotion

Villages and compact towns should be encouraged to come up instead of mega cities.
Wind turbines should be installed on riverbeds all along rivers to draw water from aquifers and store in ground tanks. Each tank or a set of few consecutively arranged tanks would supply water to the nearest village/town downstream so that water flows there by gravity. Thus the needs of the population living along a river from where it originates till its confluence will be taken care.

Respected Sir .I want to draw your attention towards the wastage of water being done by our municipalities as the municipal water supply pipe is not attached with a tap and hence huge quantum of water is just drained..(particularly in Kolkata )

RAINWATER HARVESTING is very impotent for our future needs every house must have a pit for Rainwater Harvesting, cites like Concrete Jungles there is no way to refill under ground water, but we are using underground water so much, So Government must pass act for compulsory maintain a pit for rainwater harvesting, and also give initiatives to have Rainwater mechanism in every house.
