So many little lives are lost every year due to negligence of borewell contractors as children fall into borewells. Can we not come up with strict guidelines for construction of borewells? One simple solution could be to mandate placing of a heavy slab over the borewell or temporarily fencing off the site so that children are kept out of the area.

I just don't know who brought this idea of online gas booking system. We have to be extremely grateful. How much of time we are saving here and added to it how much embrassment of talking to the rude staff of distributor is avoided. I wish the same sort of methodology is used in our many requirements . Unnecessary travel, crowd, corruption can be avoided & the comfort of ease we can enjoy.

In the last just 40 yrs how much forest we have lost. When the widening of roads will be done nobody knows, 1st thing done will be chopping trees mercilessly, which was giving shade, air, fruits, leaves is timber. In front of corrupt, unpractical govt, what a common can do except for sending such messages the result of which nobody knows. At this stage at least if we can try to rectify our mistakes a lot can be done. Provision of wood for fire, construction, agriculture, no entry to forest.Try.

For the moment I want to say something about the poor management and corrupt structure of Indian railways. We have gone backwards. Even if the train is empty, one can only buy a general ticket. I had to go from jalandhar to Amritsar. The only ticket that I could buy a few minutes before the train arrival was a general ticket and I wanted to go in AC class, that gave the attendant a chance to pocket extra cash and the railways lost. In an IT era this is extreme poor management.

Why living organism needs water. We need water mainly to maintain our body temperature. Plants leaves must keep it temperature below 35 Deg C for survival. Human water requirement is considerably reduced in air conditioned buildings. Whatever little water is lost through perspiration and oxygen intake is recovered as condensate in chiller heat ex-changer. Sealed and cooled green houses will eliminate the water requirement. Greenhouse will become potential water source for open agriculture.

Mostly urban states are becoming shortage of ground water. The is one of the reasons that we drain the used water out to the river. If we make some kind of water tank at the basement which will pour the water to the ground instead of draining out the water, it will bring the ground water level up.
