All traditional festivals may be supported by Government to conduct at larger scale

To promote lesser known festivals,fairs and cultures there must conduct mela or like that any promotional programmes. That can save our tradition.

Respected Prime Minister Shri Modi Ji, Namasthe. This is a very good initiative. We have been losing many Utsavs which was followed by our ancestors. Due to lack of interest and faith many have stopped following the traditions. Many youngsters think it's a waste of time because of Western Culture influence on them. Each festival has to be documented and uploaded in the Tourism Board website. A Live Telecast like Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra has to be done to popularise these festivals. In fact many westerners are interested to see these events and some even follow them. A website with info on all important festivals across India has to be posted with some video clips. Famous Jallikattu event, Rekla Race, Kambala Race has to be promoted across the globe. This will inspire many people. Unfortunately in the name of Animal Cruelty some organisations are trying to stop these Traditional events. Government can conduct a survey on forgotten and promote those events globally. I think we can have this portal where you can have festivals as per the region and also as per-the community wise ForEg we are Maheshwari.a small community in Marwari and our festivals are different from other Marwari community.we need to get the information from the old age group who still remember some of the celebrations they used to have .which nowadays no body does .we all are aware of big festivals but other even we forgot .for eg goga navmi ,ubchatt paush bada etc the last generation is the only source for these rituals and customs etc . Having this collection of information background riti rewaz will be helpful .otherwise once this generation is over or dies we won’t have any source to get this information .
