“Deshke Utsav” Is a campaign brought to you by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Government of India. The Utsav Portal website, a digital initiative developed and launched by the Ministry of Tourism, aims to showcase all the events, festivals and live darshans across India to promote different regions of the country as popular tourist destinations worldwide. This portal showcases the month-wise and State wise calendar contents on festivals, Events and Online Pooja/Aarti. The Ministry of Tourism invites suggestions from the citizens of India about the innovative ways in which we can save the disappearing festivals/cultures and the ways to promote them worldwide. Ministry of Tourism encourages users to visit the Utsav platform/website, where users can find information about various events, festivals, and can watch real-time darshans across the nation https://utsav.gov.in/ The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page. Last Date of Submission 31st December 2022

our olden tradition/fairs/culture still existed in many parts of the world outside India ,has "ancient cultural belief" many family resides & known to be Hindustani , there exits temple in such places , biggest custodian overseas of our cultural heritage,they are proud to be Hindustani, WE NEED TO ASSEMBLE SUCH DETAILS TO HIGHLIGHT & PROMOTE PLACE OF HERITAGE

India is great country which has a very diverse culture and each region has its own style of celebration. If we love to culture of India, we must attend these unique and lesser-known festivals of India.With the second-largest population in the world , India offers an endless variety of cultures and beliefs. It’s a country, where we will step into a new kind of cultural community every few hundred kilometers and this also brings with it a variety of customs and celebrations. We, Indians don’t just accommodate all but celebrate life to its fullest. It can literally be called the ‘land of festivals’ where rich cultures, traditions, and beliefs coexist at their vibrant best. There are several prominent festivals that are celebrated across the country and include the Durga Puja in West Bengal, Ganapati Chaturthi in Maharashtra, Diwali across the country, Holi specific to Northern India but again celebrated all over, Dushera as the alternative to Durga Puja

#Deshke Utsav. Near to my native one festival which is not much known, but it's related to a bhagavathy temple. Location is Kallepully, Palakkad, Kerala. Posession of elephants and different dramatically figure can be seen in posession.

Please celebrate the village festival and promote this festival. Everybody knows about JHANDA. Please promote this festival worldwide then promote a local handmade product.

This govt acting naive & passing time , wasting Hindu $$ . atleast begin with shown what have u already done, your challenges , your successes. No learning curve ! For ideas 1) portal that keeps growing, 2) calendar - mention every day the new festival, where it is celebrated and a clip of it 5x a day . repeated in schools also . children should know which festival is today . a creative story/lesson . mentioned on all flights/rail/bus announcement . even parliament should celebrate it 3) app based - to take it global. To be played in every indian embassy . screens outside/inside. 4) monthly competition at red fort year round . participation from villages . Join it with food, clothes from that area at the end . Tourist gallery local/foreigners at airports etc. etc.

To Promote these festivals we should organize Prabhat Feri on those special days , people from offices, students from schools and college can attend these Prabhat Feri with that particular festival attire

The lesser known festivals,fairs are to be enlisted first and brief introduction to be given to the school,colleges and NGOs.Then small small competitions on those lesser known festivals, fairs are to be organized to make them familiar
