Out of all festivals my child hood festival viz., Atlathadhi used to be my favourite as out of 6 members in family 50 % will be on FASTING UPTO moon visibility just like Tevez in north India and pray for good future husband for unmarried sisters and LONGEVITY of father by mom. My advantage is availability of curd extra as FASTING sisters 2 plus mom don't share curd that day . Ofcourse they will take fruits and pan and other sports activities goes on.The story is as moon takes long time to appear the brother of FASTING sister burns firewood in nearby forest and asks his sister to END FASTING as moon light appeared in forest and clouds not allowing moon to appear. Sister ends fasting but later in life delayed marriage in family and brother accepts his wrong doing and again whole family prays for help of God . Ulitimately all good happens and enjoys life. The emotions in story are in reality too OCCURS in life thus the future guidance available to youth with Traditions

it will enhance Tourist in India which in turn will enhance economy of India.

Poshi Punam As kids, we used to celebrate “Poshi Punam” in the traditional way (it is the full moon day in the Poshi or third month of Gujarati calendar). I would pray for my brother’s good health and happiness; and fast on that day (have lots of fruits, some dry fruits, milk, curd, sweets & faraal; actually eat more than other days !). At night before dinner, mom would make a wheat roti with a hole in the centre. I had to then look at the full moon from the hole in the roti and sing in Gujarati (3 times) - “Poshi Poshi Punamdi, Agaashi ae raandhi khichdi, bhai ne ben ramey ke jamey ?” (Meaning “Its full moon, we have made dinner on the terrace; sister should play or eat ?“). After each time, My brother would have to say ramey or jamey (play/eat). My brother would say “ramey/play” first 2 times; & then “jamey/eat” ! I would cheer triumphantly the third time ! There were 5 brother-sister Jodis in the neighbourhood and before dinner we all would gather for this fun-ritual !

Hingot is a festival in MP which is celebrated by tribals in MP. It is always criticized by media. Needs to be looked towards from a different point of view and promoted.

there should be a combo advertisement of local festivals like jalli kattu, gangore ,Onam etc ..state govt should also promote these festivals in their tourism Advertisement. All gram panchayat or a nearby group of villages there should organize as mela and should be compition between two panchayat and games can be include it will promote local market, will make strong local economy as well as also will promote festivals ,Indian railway can start a good initiative in this railway should paint railway station in famous local festival as gangor is famous in rajasthan and in jaipur, shekhawati area so railway can paint jaipur, jhunjhunu, sikar, and other railway station in gangor swari paint , and some details about gangor. like gangor kab aati hai.knha ki famous hai aur gangor ko Jan na hai to ghumiye rajasthan jb pura rajasthan gangor mna rha ho
