I feel their trip should combine sight seeing and becoming a part of our festivals with brief notes and costumes. To make the trip memorable lots of inputs are required from our side. We have temples, monuments, sculptures with so much depth & technology. Attempt should be made to focus & explain scientifically to understand the capabilities of our civilization.Qualified guides is a must. Capable individuals should get special leave for this purpose from any employment to boost tourism till more number of persons are trained. Typical questions will arise for the tourists convincing answers with database has to be maintained. I feel we need more input to think tanks to promote tourism. We have wonderful mind boggling creations by our ancestors which can leave foreign tourists wonder stuck if explained properly & hospitality is the essence to extract gold !!

India being a diverse cultural & a tropical country. There are generally few months with festivals & intervals. We have two types of foreign tourists one coming by air & the other by cruise ships. There are several ports on east & west coasts. The cruise trip will be short as they have to cover other countries. Tourists arriving by airlines will come on an exclusive trip to our country. Now there are two types people traveling on season & off season for lower airfare. Their summer holiday season will be generally our monsoon time in certain areas. Our festivals & cultural activities will generally start after August. The weather is also favourable. The tourism package should be assessed by a special team who have knowledge of our culture & extensively traveled. What could impress the travelers to make them feel comfortable,types of food, stay, travel, hospitality,shopping. A word of mouth from a satisfied tourist is the gateway to success.
