"स्कूलों, कॉलेजों और प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों में अभिगम्य उत्पादों के मानकों को पाठ्यक्रम का हिस्सा बनाया जाए, ताकि भविष्य के डिज़ाइनर, इंजीनियर और निर्माता शुरू से ही ‘Accessibility by Design’ दृष्टिकोण अपनाएँ।"

"अभिगम्य उत्पादों के लिए समय-समय पर स्वतंत्र ‘Third-Party Accessibility Audit’ अनिवार्य किया जाए, ताकि निर्माता द्वारा किए गए दावों की वास्तविकता जाँची जा सके।"

"सभी अभिगम्य उत्पादों के लिए एकीकृत ‘Feedback & Grievance Redressal System’ बनाया जाए, जहाँ PwD अपनी शिकायतें, सुझाव और अनुभव आसानी से दर्ज कर सकें, और उसका समयबद्ध निपटारा सुनिश्चित हो।"

"अभिगम्य उत्पादों की वारंटी और बीमा योजनाओं में विशेष प्रावधान हों, ताकि PwD को मरम्मत, प्रतिस्थापन और बीमा दावे करने में अतिरिक्त सुविधा और प्राथमिकता मिले।"

"अभिगम्य उत्पादों के निर्माण में इस्तेमाल होने वाली मशीनरी और उत्पादन इकाइयों को भी अभिगम्य बनाया जाए, ताकि विकलांग व्यक्ति स्वयं उत्पादन और गुणवत्ता जाँच की प्रक्रिया में शामिल हो सकें।"

In my opinion, the draft accessibility standards for the product sector are a very important step by the government to ensure inclusiveness in our society. I feel that the decision to make these standards “non-negotiable” shows strong commitment towards the rights of people with disabilities. It will help in moving from voluntary guidelines to proper rules that companies must follow. This is essential because accessibility should not be treated as an option, but as a basic requirement.

I sincerely appreciate this initiative of inviting comments on the Draft Accessibility Standards. Accessibility should not be seen as an option, but as a basic right for every citizen. To make this draft more impactful, I would like to suggest: 1-Stronger focus on universal design 2-Mandatory accessibility audits at every stage 3-Greater promotion of assistive technologies and support for startups working in this field. 4-Continuous awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and ensure wider adoption. I really appreciate this initiative because accessibility is a basic right for everyone. In my view, if products are designed with universal design from the start, then there won’t be a need for extra changes later. There should also be regular accessibility audits at every stage – from design to usage. Supporting startups and new technologies that create assistive tools can make a big difference too. Overall, this step will definitely help in building a more inclusive and equal society.
