Respected Sir Yesterday I saw my three lychee saplings growing happily in a small flowerpot. Plan to transer them to the ground.The gardener said, they will take many years to grow and you won't be able to have the fruit. He had said the same thing when I sowed two sprouted coconuts in the soil. I smiled to myself. Anybody who has worked in a private school knows the hectic schedule a teacher does have. Sometimes we have to evaluate answersheets night after night.Then pandemic happened. With illness came the soothing effects of the plants. I developed a new found love for them. I planted seeds and saw them grow. Ate papaya, mango, lichi, custard apple and planted the seeds. This time they responded. The pleasure is just like a mother has for a child. Children should be encouraged to plant trees on different occasions and take care of them. They should form a green brigade or a part of Tarumitra to spread the awareness. They can get saplings as prizes for their achievements. Regards
