An annual scheme or event to invite freedom fighters who are still alive and felicitate them on independence day can be thought of by the Govt A decision may be taken in this regard & announced on this year's Independence day. As this years Independence day address would be a historic & memorable one, the same may be translated into all the recognised Indian languages & broadcasted. This is a suggestion. A system of inviting a foreign dignitary to grace the occasion can be introduced as it's done for the Republuc day celebrations. The PM may kindly make an announcement in this regard. The celebrations this year will be graced by the new President & the Vice- President making the event more momentous & memorable. The 3 ( three) dignitaries can stand & salute the tricolor together. after the tricolor flag gets unfurled.
