Villages are the heart of India. Such villages should be a symbol of democracy. More powers should be given to villages.Even the power to conduct Gram Sabha is under the control of the State Government.Village councils should be convened, elections should be held independently and judicial powers should be given to villages.After all these years of independence, the question is why villages are not empowered.Grama sabha meetings should be seen parallel to parliament & state assembly meetings. The villages should be given freedom from the state governments from the coming Independence Day.The unique identities of the villages which are the heart of India must be recovered. For that, the villages should be freed from the control of the state government.The Constitution of India should empower villages to enact new laws at the village level. The Election Commission of India should conduct the elections for local bodies as well. Gram Sabha meetings should  at least 52 days in a year.

The PM has regularly asked citizens to suggest ideas for his public addresses.
