The latest amendments related to GST Returns are causing serious issues to the taxpayers. ITC is not available to the purchaser only because of non / late filing of GSTR-1 by the supplier. The purchaser is unnecessarily punished because of mistake of supplier. This issue can be resolved if the proposed system is adopted which is attached in PDF. In the proposed system there is no loss of ITC to the purchaser and no loss or delay of tax revenue to the Government. IT will also give relief to the return filers and no conflict between suppliers and purchasers for ITC. There will be ease of doing business.

The direct health expenditure on treating tobacco-related diseases alone accounts for 5.3 per cent of total private and public health spending in India in a year. Furthermore, for every Rs 100 received as excise tax from tobacco products in 2016-17, India incurred Rs 816 of costs through the consumption of tobacco. I would like to request Madam Nirmala Sitharaman to increase the existing tax burden on tobacco products significantly by increasing the excise tax on bidis, cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products.

For the Kind Attention of PM, FM, IT Department, Bankers and Chartered Accountants One Ledger for Income Tax accounting. (U.P. Prakasham, Nebula Solutions Ltd. 9840033881) Now we have PAN and Aadhaar. There is a great scope of simplification and Tax Payer Friendly features that can be adopted. It is a long time wish that why there cannot be one single ledger accounting for each tax payer for the Income Tax? Why there should be refunds? If we visualize, advantages are plenty in favour. The learned Chartered Accounts and Financial experts can have a debate and recommend to the Government for the need of this highly efficient, transparent and user friendly arrangement for all the stake holders, Tax Payers, Accountants and Government.
