On use of Temple Wealth: Once the Government frees the temples' wealth from taking them away, the Government can ask the committee for their plans for utilizing the incomes and perhaps even provide guidelines: Like % for building low-cost houses to those registered with such temples and in the vicinity, y% for schools, a% for health and welfare measures etc., and increase the salaries and benefits to the priests and people supplying flowers to the temples and so forth. Initially the temples will not have any guideline but eventually the management will start looking at the welfare of the community. They can also be advised to deposit some amounts with the government bonds or some such which will give them some interest and/or insurance and so forth.

Several Crores of cash get confiscated from unscrupulous elements and organizations and I understand these are just sealed and kept aside. My suggestion is why not bring them into circulation for various projects and welfare schemes and the government issuing a receipt for such amounts, which will be returned to the accused if and when acquitted.

!. Gold getting into fewer hands: Several Gold Loans Companies have cropped-up and people seem to find it convenient to pawn/surrender their Gold received during wedding or otherwise inherited and convert them into usable monies for financing their interest in life. It is quite normal to pawn or pledge and redeem. What I am getting concerned about is that a few Large Companies advertise, aet-up branches all over India, advertise using popular cine-stars etc., and corner the gold. In such cases, the Gold gets practically accumulated into a few Companies – mostly from Kerala and it is my concern that being easily tradeable internationally, would these Companies has a possibility of funding improper activities? My suggestion is “Would it be prudent to have these Companies declare their Gold holdings secured from customers or otherwise on a quarterly basis to RBI or some such”

Dear Finance Minister, Ma'am as you know there has been a significant boost in investors of middle class in stock markets and mutual funds and because of it our Markets are on all time highs. I would like to highlight an issue most of us are facing in investing of mutual funds. Every Mutual fund company offers their customer 2 alternatives i.e. to invest Directly or to invest via an agent and we have an option to switch our schemes but while we do Capital Gains Taxes gets attracted as Switching from regular scheme to direct Scheme attracts Capital Gains as the Process is considered as transfer. and capital gains are levied on the transaction even if the funds are switched from one scheme to another and no Capital gains are actually realized in real. So i request you to add an amendment and remove Switching of mutual funds from the definition of Transfer in Capital Gains.
