Suggestion: Income-tax Treatment of Statutory Provident Fund Contributions
I would like to submit a suggestion regarding the taxation of employees’ Provident Fund (PF)
contributions exceeding ₹2.5 lakh per annum.
At present, the interest earned on the employee’s contribution to Provident Fund above ₹2.5
lakh is taxable. While the intent may be to tax voluntary high-value savings, this provision
also impacts statutory and compulsory PF contributions, which employees are legally
mandated to make under the Employees’ Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act,
1952.Employees do not have discretion over the statutory rate of PF contribution, and in many
cases—especially for higher-income salaried employees—the mandatory contribution alone
may exceed ₹2.5 lakh annuallyTaxing such compulsory contributions creates an inequitable
situation, as the contribution is neither voluntary nor a tax-planning instrument.

First Thing that now Government has to focus on integrated Traffic Management System including single database for vehicle and License 2) It’s high time for central Health Care System where Central government will posses all power with contribution of state government 3) Railway fencing is must thing because it just not affect speed of train but also people make illegal colony near railway track 4) Government should invest on police modernisation because we need a quick reactive police please give central fund for body cam as it will stop corruption and mandatory for all police officer 5) India should invest more on R&D atleast 5% of budget

Also reduce the term of 5 years to 1 year for payment of gratuity for employees on private sectors who are Full Time Employees. As per new labor code it is for contractual employees only and not for permanent employees

Respected Maam,
Few suggestions :
a. LTCG : please increase the limit from 1.25 lacs so that ultra rich and super rich are taxed at a great level because for middle class income tax, GST and other indirect taxes are there. Middle class can build the wealth which will help them post retirement as they can have a corpus.. Ultra rich and super rich have many other sources of income and they can claim disallowances under income tax as well
b. Tax on agricultural income
c. For non government people - a scheme similar to CGHS
d. Inclusion of 80C and 80D deductions in new tax regime
