Nano Urea has been provisionally included in Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) 1985. In the preliminary trials, Nano-urea spray on different crops gave comparable yields to those obtained under fully recommended doses of fertilizers, with savings on top-dressed nitrogen.

Nano Fertilizers hold great promise for application in plant nutrition because of their size-dependent qualities, high surface-to-volume ratio, and unique optical properties. Nano Fertilizer releases plant nutrients in a controlled manner, contributing to higher nutrient use efficiency.

In this context, participate & send your ideas regarding innovations in the Fertilizer Sector, which can help increase farmers’ income.

Last date of submission is 14th February 2023.

Farmers can earn good money from millet cultivation, India is the world’s leading millet producer. In spite of less rainfall, you can get more yield and fodder from millet crop as compared to other crops. It is used as a rotational crop for nematode control in soybean, wheat and potato crops. If poultry feed made from millet is given to chickens, the amount of unwanted cholesterol (LDL) in eggs is less than the amount of eggs produced from poultry feed made from maize. Medium to heavy soil with good drainage should be selected for higher yield. The pH value of the soil should be between 6.5 and 7.5. For good germination, loamy soil and loamy compact soil are considered suitable.

Commercial production of millet is profitable, so it can be great income source for the people. Commercial production of millet is already an established business and many people are doing this business for making money. Replace low yielding varieties with high yielding varieties/hybrids. Creating awareness to farmers on the Millet importance in the nutritional requirement through training SHG/ farmers for production and value addition.

follwing are the some ideas to improve the farmers income as follows 1. the fertilizes should be in liquid form like nano fertilizers 2. use drones to spray it in the agriculture fields 3. use bio fertilizes from organic waste 4. Diversification: 5. Interplanting is a practice in which different crops are growing together at the same time. It is the best way to maximize the productivity of your growing space. 6. Water management is the best way to improve production. Using the sprinkler irrigation system, you can increase the output by up to 50% 7. Nitrogen is a necessary element for better plant growth, and without nitrogen, most of the crops would not exist. 8. cultivate more number of muillets

Uses Organic Waste to Feed Crops and Improve Soil, Water, and Air. Creating precision fertilizer granules from animal manure, agricultural crop wastes like peanut and rice hulls, and even wastewater treatment organics, is a first-of-its-kind innovation ready to feed crops sustainably. If it is in the liquid form , it is easy to spray it with drones also

Nano urea should be in liquid form so that we can spray it in the agriculture fields through drones. This process takes less time and money and yeilds high production, also it requires less number of laboures

Nano Fertilizers From Wastes - More priority has to be given for research on the wastes, for controlling the pollution which may affect the environment. Wastes may derive from many sources : households, industries, shops, malls, hotels, other sources, etc. – may be organic / inorganic. Promote : - awareness on recycling and its advantages. - recycling the organic wastes domestically. - arrangements for recycling the domestic wastes and local wastes collectively on a location basis, with the support of local authorities. Research : - for conversion of the organic wastes and wastes derived after sufficient recycling of the original wastes - to production of FERTILIZER. - possibilities of wrong effects / negative results on applying such FERTILIZER. - on any possibilities of pollution in the long-run on production of such Fertilizer. The FERTILIZER derived from such process will be affordable for farmers and easily available. Kunju C. Nair
