Parents invest equally in sons and daughters, yet only sons are expected to support them. Many women face pressure from husbands and in-laws despite being financially independent. What about parents with no sons or sons living away? It’s disheartening that we speak of women’s empowerment but still deny them equal rights and responsibilities.
