(2)Due to the fact that a vast multiplicity of Ministries / Deptts./other Private and Non Govt. Organisations are dealing with Food and Nutrition, there is an urgent need to work towards an integrated and pro-active approach among all stakeholders to promote “Balanced and Healthy Diets” for the entire population of our country and not only for Women and Children. (3) To improve the present situation, following are suggested :- (I) Formation of an Apex Body for Nutrition at the Centre under NITI Aayog for coordinating with all the Stakeholders, (II) Strengthening of Food Systems approach (from Farm to Fork).
