I am writing as a concerned citizen to highlight the environmental impact of balloon releases during national celebrations and the use of plastic or single use flags at events that are celebrated across the country. These releases, while festive, pose serious threats to wildlife and pollute our beautiful country. With a celebration like Independence Day ahead, I hope we can rethink this practice and instead endorse alternatives - and discussion of this on your Mann Ki Baat program could lead to significant positive change.
