The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

Sir after American government pressure on GE, now GE is asking 3times increase price of GE414 engine because they don’t want India to develop it’s own jet fighter project AMCA, so India should do is take 8-10 engines on increased price and reverse engineer 1engine through any private firm L&T or Adani, this way within 2-3 years we can have our own engine same way as china did for it’s stealth aircraft. Also stop further production and change the engine bay design for new Tejas Mk1 & Mk2 aircrafts and replace their engines with Su57 jet engines or Rafale jet engines, as even with maintenance cost of Su57 engine still it will cost us less than paying 3times because relying on America is not in favour of India now, also do not sign the new trade deal with America until they provide us the engines required for our already built Tejas Mk1 & Mk2. If they still don’t give then cancel the deal of GE engines and ask them to provide F22 raptors for the money given.

Sir I want to take your kind attention towards Ujjain, the way minority reacted in Muharram Yatra with a blast and slogans is not at all acceptable as they are preparing for something big behind the curtains. It’s time to treat them similar to the way china does as only by this way they can get treated, state should issue strict rules upon anyone who gives statements against nation, who does not respect the national anthem, national flag, constitution, strict action required upon people using pakistan flag in India, and banning them from all benefits given by the state as these people don’t deserve it. When pakistan was made in 1947 on the basis of religion then why they chose to stay in India and if they did chose India then they have to live according to India’s constitution and Indian rules. Hindus are secular but people who chose Modiji as the PM of India are Sanatani and all Sanatan people will choose you again and we are waiting for you to take action upon these miscreants.

Harmonizing Spirituality and Sustainability: The Vision of a Zero-Waste Mahotsav The convergence of deep-rooted spiritual traditions and modern environmental consciousness represents one of the most significant shifts in contemporary societal values. As communities increasingly recognize that the preservation of the Earth is a sacred duty—a service to the divine that is reflected in the health of our surroundings—initiatives like the "Zero Waste Mahotsav" at the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Temple serve as powerful blueprints for change. This movement, centered around the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri in Baghpat, is not merely an administrative goal; it is a profound cultural statement that reconnects the act of worship with the principles of environmental stewardship and collective responsibility. The Spiritual Imperative for Ecological Balance In the Indian ethos, the concept of Dharma (duty/righteousness) is inextricably linked to the protection of Prakriti (nature). Anc
