Theme: "Prasad Se Prakriti" – A Tech-Enabled, Circular Economy Model for a Zero-Waste Mahashivratri
1. Smart Waste Management & Technology Integration (Focus Areas a, f)
QR-Based 'Green Token' Deposit System: Implement a refundable deposit fee on any necessary packaged items entering the mela grounds. Visitors scan a QR code at entry to pay a small security deposit, which is instantly refunded UPI-to-UPI when they return the wrapper/bottle to automated smart-bins or volunteer booths.
IoT-Enabled Smart Bins: Deploy solar-powered, capacity-sensing smart bins across the venue that alert the central control room via an app when they are 80% full, ensuring zero overflow.
2. Plastic-Free Alternatives & Circular Infrastructure (Focus Areas b, c)
Edible & Leaf-Based Utensils (The Dona-Pattal Revolution): Partner with local self-help groups (SHGs) to mandate the use of pressed-leaf plates (Pattals) and terracotta cups (Kulhads) for all bhandaras and food stalls.
