As India embarks on the journey of breaking into the top 5 major economies of the world there is a need to realize the Prime Minister's goal of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas. One of the foundation pillars for realizing this dream is to upskill and reskill individuals to supplement income and increase livelihood prospects.

A typical family in the Rurban parts of the country is managed by the homemaker who is generally the female member. She spends a substantial part of her day settling a variety of household errands and working through her daily job. However, after all this, she does have a few hours to spare which if put to productive use, could augment the income of the household significantly.

We call in your suggestions and ideas which would help such homemakers explore alternative income sources in their spare time.

Govt. should start One Online Market Place Website, where only housewives are allowed to list their products categories wise. They can sell it all around India without any establishment of a Company but linked with Aadhar, India Post (for delivery) & digital payment banks. Slowly lot of them will emerge automatically to export their home made products & boost out Economy! They will be ultimate innovators in many sectors.

In my view we have to create demand of hand made articles to supply to international taste. Handicrafts, paintings, cane work, jute & coir bags, shell painting, wooden crafts, embroidery, woolen weaves, mats, imitation jewelry. Most important is the quality of goods, finish, aesthetic look using good rawmaterials. Qualified supervision with talented women is very important to cater to international taste at reasonable price.

First of all, I would like to tell that we should help those woman to be empowered. At first level, we should make small groups of these women according to their interest (whichever field they like stitching, cooking etc). After that, inspired from make in india campaign we should hire one leader who guide them and after their work they can share their products in market, supporting make in india campaign. Government should take these under their power which will help both government and women.
