As India embarks on the journey of breaking into the top 5 major economies of the world there is a need to realize the Prime Minister's goal of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas. One of the foundation pillars for realizing this dream is to upskill and reskill individuals to supplement income and increase livelihood prospects.

A typical family in the Rurban parts of the country is managed by the homemaker who is generally the female member. She spends a substantial part of her day settling a variety of household errands and working through her daily job. However, after all this, she does have a few hours to spare which if put to productive use, could augment the income of the household significantly.

We call in your suggestions and ideas which would help such homemakers explore alternative income sources in their spare time.

Education is the key that opens all doors. Identify people who can be enablers in a group, esp rural ares, and support them to spread education - esp with regards to family issues, relevant legal matters, and in taking common responsibility when it comes to matters within the group. its important that the group facilitators come from within the group and be motivated as appropriate (even monitory benefits) for long terms benefits to accrue from this idea.

for almost all schemes announced, there will be people who would try to subvert it and corrupt it. But there will also be genuine beneficiaries whose family and children will be hugely benefited. Please make it easy for every one rather than build in rules that makes it difficult for the genuine person. If you make becoming beneficiary of a scheme difficult, the corrupt will work around it and the genuine will suffer. Corrupt should face stringent consequences once identified.
