As India embarks on the journey of breaking into the top 5 major economies of the world there is a need to realize the Prime Minister's goal of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas. One of the foundation pillars for realizing this dream is to upskill and reskill individuals to supplement income and increase livelihood prospects.

A typical family in the Rurban parts of the country is managed by the homemaker who is generally the female member. She spends a substantial part of her day settling a variety of household errands and working through her daily job. However, after all this, she does have a few hours to spare which if put to productive use, could augment the income of the household significantly.

We call in your suggestions and ideas which would help such homemakers explore alternative income sources in their spare time.

Women can also provide creche services for couples who need help. Tiffin service Can make a group of homemakers and teach them various art skills, like tailoring or creating art pieces, etc, further selling their work in the market with the help of government linkages. Data entry work or online form filling can be done from home.

my idea ,first the govt launch home made seller center in every district and the every home mader their own products photo send to that center and the govt will fix amount to their products what is this product depends upon on their home made products and the govt selling and distribute to varies area in india,so automatically will rural area and women's economy developed ....

I am working in rural tribal area since last 24years and had handle varities of extension projects and extension work.what my experience say is marketing linkages r important Secondly timely availability of raw material

I have always thought of this thing which I am going to share, homemakers have few hours which can be productively utilised if one wants too. I wish employees of government who are working for the underprivileged children should approach homemakers and they can devote their time teaching various things to the kids, like art and craft, life skills, grooming, hygiene, environmental and educational knowledge, etc.

Hourly baby care service: parents of kids may sometimes want to go outside where they can't take their kids. Provide hourly services to take care of their kids.

Senior citizens help: Remind senior citizens about their meal, medicines by visiting them personally or on phone. You can charge some fees for this.

Depending on the interest and skills they could be provided work opportunities and paid appropriately via government agencies which by themselves are a huge network with employment possibilities. The different categories can be 1. Cooking related - Providing home made simple satvic food for old persons / patients / school children/ orphanage/ underprivileged 2. Small scale industries - Preparing healthy snack items from locally grown fruit/vegetables/grains e.g. pickles /jams/ papads / chivda
