As India embarks on the journey of breaking into the top 5 major economies of the world there is a need to realize the Prime Minister's goal of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas. One of the foundation pillars for realizing this dream is to upskill and reskill individuals to supplement income and increase livelihood prospects.

A typical family in the Rurban parts of the country is managed by the homemaker who is generally the female member. She spends a substantial part of her day settling a variety of household errands and working through her daily job. However, after all this, she does have a few hours to spare which if put to productive use, could augment the income of the household significantly.

We call in your suggestions and ideas which would help such homemakers explore alternative income sources in their spare time.

मेरा नाम हेमंत छीपा s/o श्री रामेश्वर लाल छीपा है, मेरी यह राय है कि गृहणी महिलाओं को घर बैठें अपनी आमदनी बढ़ाने के लिए उनको ब्यूटी पार्लर, सिलाई उद्योग, राशन का सामान (जैसे - पापड़ बनाना, आचार बनाना आदि), हस्त कला आदि इन क्षेत्रों से जोड़ना चाहिए। इसके साथ ही जो महिलाएं 55 वर्ष या उससे अधिक उन महिलाओं को नरेगा के तहत नरेगा काम में बदलाव कर उनको हस्त कला (जैसे - कढ़ाई, मेहंदी के कोण बनाना, आचार बनाना आदि अनेक प्रकार के काम से जोड़ना चाहिए।)

Many of oru Indian Home maker womens are having well knowledge in theire Traditional Bussiness and some peoples are well in Hand made things, But many womens are Financial lock (Our Government provide many scheme like Mudra & excetra, many Banks area having huge norms & condition) here after it will easy surely House wife's are eagerly di theire works...... Thank you

home makers have certain mindset,supportive family is very essential,there are many options to earn and become self dependent. one of such option is dairy.although govt launched many schemes for financial support one of such scheme is umeed scheme.

Home makers during their freetime can start small scale jobs which donot need much investment. one such thing will be ironing clothes for people of the locality... if they can invest in a washing machine, they can run a small scale laundry business(which will be helpful in a rural setting)

Supplement money refer to the money that is earned and added and included to the regular income for an example womens doing tailoring and do the online job and do the tuition to the students and online data entry job and do the marketing for materials...

Dear MyGov.in team ,I was reading an article in The Tribune in which it was suggested that Homemakers/Housewifes can be engaged in Home Delivery of products through E-Commerce portals. Homemakers can be engaged as Volunteers as Swach Bharat Abhiyan for issuing the receipt of Challans and can be payed through the issued challans.

home makers, yeh sab kar sakti hai like rakhi making , dying arts like kadyi , bunnai , home decor like jalar etc jo educated ho woh adut literacy badhane me contribute kar sakti hai koi specific field me expert hai to usme me auro ko jagruk kar sakti hai. online reselling sanskar shivir open kar sakti hai yeh kuch sevaye house wives kar sakti hai

To make them Swacch Bharat volunteers. To promote and spread awareness on Swacch Bharat. To spread awareness on control of epidemics. To act as whistleblowers for intelligence agencies. To educate children in the locality through government notifications. To spread awareness on population control. To inform government about ground report and progress of government projects. To participate in GEM.

production of kitchen supplement product like spices,pickle etc. and other handicraft product should be initiated for women to supply in market may be the good source of their income
