One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Why don't you come up with a new Tax System to create awareness for "Clean India"? I don't know how feasible my idea is, but I would suggest a system to implement "Pollution Tax", according to which pollution tax will be calculated and implemented "Area wise" or geographical location based on the amount of pollution and waste generated from that area. So basically, people have to pay more tax in restaurants, shops, etc if that area is generating more pollution. Hence they will be precautious.

My IDEA would be to simplify overall Income Taxation process :- In the current process every one including Salaried people is supposed to file income tax. Why can not we link all information to PAN number and make the tax deduction automatic ANy one who wants to claim refund should file income tax. Savings expected : Less Paper work for all , More free bandwidth from IT officers, Assessing officers etc .

Agricultural income should be brought under the tax net. Any person earning over 1 crore from agriculture cannot be treated as a poor farmer. This will bring a lot of income under the tax net.

Make a law in which people get discount in income tax after submitting of bills of their purchasing & for people who are exempted to pay income tax government should give them a specific percentage or a amount on submitting bills of purchasing by these government will get more tax from the seller who don't show their real income which they show only 60% of their real transactions which they hide by auditors.
