As per the recommendations made in NEP 2020, a set of standards has been developed to ensure that all students at all levels of school education are taught by passionate, motivated, highly qualified, professionally trained, and well-equipped teachers. National Professional Standard for Teachers(NPST) would help in determining the attributes of the teachers at different levels of career pathways. In addition to this, NPST focuses on preparations, practice and performance improvement of all teachers. The standards and related policies are in line with the fundamental principles given in the NEP 2020 to provide high quality education to all. NCTE was mandated by the Ministry to formulate a guiding document and platform for operationalizing NPST.

National Professional Standard for Teachers (NPST) will monitor the design of pre-service teacher education program. This could be then adopted by states and determine all aspects of teacher career management, including tenure, professional development efforts, salary increases, promotions, and other recognitions.

In this regard, a draft document on NPST has been developed by NCTE after incorporating ideas and suggestions received from experts of various domains. The draft document has been released on November 17, 2021 to invite the suggestions and feedback from all stakeholders.

The teaching methods of government teachers and private teachers are very different but it would be better if we train all the teachers under one roof. Children are the future of the country and teachers are the guide of children. Therefore, teachers should be better trained. Also, some teachers should be sent to foreign countries for training in new methods. Indian teachers are perfect teachers. Also, every two to three years, their teachers should be trained in new things.

Dear sir, Education is not limited. Teacher is the backbone of education. India is the Country of Guru Shishya Parampara. Teacher can lead the students as well as Nation.Children's education should be taught in a practical approach rather than a theory. Training should further develop the skills of the teachers as it will also enhance the skills of the children. Skilled education is beneficial.

Teaching is a profession that makes all professions. Then the selection criteria should be little bit lenghty. After selection of teachers into post they must be trained continuously. all teachers must trained with computer knowledge and make them capable of using ICT wherever they needed in the teaching learning process. They must be focused on trends change globally.Education exchange program is needed to enhance the capability of teachers.it must be included international ,and inter state also.

National professional standards for teachers are that following the principles of Dr. APJAbdulkalam of 80/-: skill development and 20/-:of teaching methods. Joyful learning. Make class room happy. Student should participate in all the event. Teachers should work as a guide. Lecture oriented method gone. Allocate units in to groups. Teachers are observer. Then finally correct that. Some time student are brilliant allow them more involved and poor guises. Any how student should participate. Study.

Dear PM Ji, As an Acharya I feel that we are the real warriors of the nation and we have the responsibility of our Nation. Teaching is not a profession its a responsibility which every teacher should understand. There should be some awareness programs and some schemes, competitions or rewards for the teachers and with the implementation of NEP 2020 please take care of the complete implementation of point 5.17 of NEP(English)-2020 - Career Management and Progression. We should serve the Nation.

Respected PM Ji Pranam, I am a private school teacher of Jharkhand and I felt very small during this pandemic when maximum parents behaved rudely and when my school faced a lot of difficulties and pressure while collecting fees. Now a days I can say that my profession is not prestigious because I am a private school teacher. A teacher is a teacher whether he/she is in a private school or government school, he/she deserves respect so there should be an awareness program for guru & shish.
