As per the recommendations made in NEP 2020, a set of standards has been developed to ensure that all students at all levels of school education are taught by passionate, motivated, highly qualified, professionally trained, and well-equipped teachers. National Professional Standard for Teachers(NPST) would help in determining the attributes of the teachers at different levels of career pathways. In addition to this, NPST focuses on preparations, practice and performance improvement of all teachers. The standards and related policies are in line with the fundamental principles given in the NEP 2020 to provide high quality education to all. NCTE was mandated by the Ministry to formulate a guiding document and platform for operationalizing NPST.

National Professional Standard for Teachers (NPST) will monitor the design of pre-service teacher education program. This could be then adopted by states and determine all aspects of teacher career management, including tenure, professional development efforts, salary increases, promotions, and other recognitions.

In this regard, a draft document on NPST has been developed by NCTE after incorporating ideas and suggestions received from experts of various domains. The draft document has been released on November 17, 2021 to invite the suggestions and feedback from all stakeholders.

Water conservation includes all the policies, strategies and activities to sustainably manage the natural resource of fresh water, to protect the hydrosphere, and to meet the current and future human demand (thus avoiding water scarcity). Population, household size and growth and affluence all affect how much water is used. Factors such as climate change have increased pressures on natural water resources especially in manufacturing and agricultural irrigation.[1] Many countries have already imp

Those who love teaching profession should be selected, groomed, trained and given best facilities for their carrier so that they could produce Good Crop of Good Citizens for the country. They should be monitored at each level for their competence and if not fit, should be weeded out. Only best teaches, dedicated to teaching should tech , not those who land to this for no design of their own. Good exposure to them with best facilities and salary are must but with ZERO tolerance for incompetence.

The draft of NPST seems good but some modifications may be done as per basic requirement at the rural level. Funding of state government is strictly bound at a fixed percentage to performance of education in their states. Government servants may play a big role in thegood implementation of NEP if they are mandatory to taught their child at govt. schools. They will rapidly point every basic or programming issues at higher level, so monitoring of govt. schools, as well as teacher may smoothly run.

Part II - NEP is a great opportunity and NPST should be built as TET at the central level only consisting of multiple languages or syllabus for respective regions. Central Government should immediately control all the examination mechanisms of the Teacher recruitment process. The teachers of private schools should also allow and provide grace marks/preference based on performance at per online assessment mechanism. Government is bound to provide quality educations to every citizen of nation.

Sir, It is very pertinent to suggest you in respcet of TET mechanism. CTET is a good concept for NEP but in fact Education is a concurrent subject, nowadays a large no. of states is unable to perform up to the mark in their respective State TET. Many corruption issues, teacher recruitment scams are also being seen at a large level. State also failed to hire or distinguish quality teachers to provide a maintained level of education in comparison to private schools. (Part I)

The problem in this teaching industry is, lack of professionalism. School toppers go to Medical field, next layer Engineering, fit for nothing will forcibly become teachers. This is the hidden truth of Educational field. Pulling the knowledged to this profession will increase the standards.

Some suggestions on teacher education: . 1.Increasing the qualification requirements for teachers, which should increase the status of teachers. 2. Investing in high quality initial teacher training and continued professional development to provide teachers with a robust grounding in effective pedagogical practices. 3. Empowering schools to have more autonomy over the way in which the curriculum is delivered.4. Developing and promoting a positive brand image of the teaching profession
