As per the recommendations made in NEP 2020, a set of standards has been developed to ensure that all students at all levels of school education are taught by passionate, motivated, highly qualified, professionally trained, and well-equipped teachers. National Professional Standard for Teachers(NPST) would help in determining the attributes of the teachers at different levels of career pathways. In addition to this, NPST focuses on preparations, practice and performance improvement of all teachers. The standards and related policies are in line with the fundamental principles given in the NEP 2020 to provide high quality education to all. NCTE was mandated by the Ministry to formulate a guiding document and platform for operationalizing NPST.

National Professional Standard for Teachers (NPST) will monitor the design of pre-service teacher education program. This could be then adopted by states and determine all aspects of teacher career management, including tenure, professional development efforts, salary increases, promotions, and other recognitions.

In this regard, a draft document on NPST has been developed by NCTE after incorporating ideas and suggestions received from experts of various domains. The draft document has been released on November 17, 2021 to invite the suggestions and feedback from all stakeholders.

Dear Honerable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modiji This is for your kind consideration that Assistant Teachers category from the State of Goa has not getting promotion inspite of having Required qualifications. so they are loosing interest from the feild. most of the teachers are joining and retired from the same post. please look into the matter and give order to Goa Govt to do the needful 🙏 🙏

Sir, In my opinion Knowledge is power We will get it from the Teachers at primary school. At home and by birth Mother is only teacher to us. Now a days, due to advance culture in schools and colleges, Some times Students are appearing like Teachers and Teachers are appearing like students. There must be a deciplanary committee in every school/colleges to implement strict rules. Then only it helpfull to learn good manners to improve knowledge for their life It is my opinion

I do not like violence in school. Teachers and principal involve in violence and abusive language. I want psychologist guidance to teachers. I want to suggest new way to handle any spoiled child. But I am against any form of violence in school and college. Teacher should not involve in private tuition. I can guide to teacher for not go for private tuition. I can prepare video messages.

Draft of NPST is quite good. But is too idealistic. Can we achieve objectives of this draft the way it is envisaged in present education system around us where teaching is no longer a noble profession but is a part of money making system? How this can be put in place by state education departments, management of institutions particularly privately managed who have their own agenda of making money by employing teachers at low salary and government institutions with their own shortcomings

All the so called teachers who are working through Quota & Reservation should be straight terminated and only IELTS CERTIFIED & PROFESSIONAL TRAINED PEOPLE should be hired as teachers. Indian Education System need a BIG CHANGE and all the Education Institutions should come under GOVT SURVEILLANCE so that JUGAADOO PEOPLE could be FILTERED OUT from the system. Reservation & Quota ke naam par bohot logo ko faayda mil chuka hai. Now it's time to ERASE RESERVATION & QUOTA SYSTEM. I know ye hoga nahi.
