The Tech Platform being considered should be Open Source and 100% Open Standards Complying. If not will end up like Proprietary Tech enabled GSTN which is still a pain. That pain will never go away till the entire Platform migrated to an Open Standards System. Even in 2009 Manifesto BJP promised about adopting Open Source. We celebrated then. But it turned out to be another Jumla we realize now :) https://osindia.blogspot.com/2009/03/bjps-it-vision-supports-open-source-and.html

E-Courts are good option even though AI can be used to solve some basic problems. It will help in speedy trial plus cost effective with documentary evidences.
But before that we must ensure that we have well qualified personnel like lawyers, policemen who can use this system effectively and efficiently. Also there is the need of sound infrastructure to run E court smoothly in whole country.
