The e-Committee of the Supreme Court has been overseeing the implementation of the e-Courts Project, conceptualized under the "National Policy and Action Plan for Implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Indian Judiciary-2005". It is the mission mode project carried out by the Department of Justice.

The e-Committee has evolved in terms of its roles and responsibilities over the last fifteen years. The objectives of the e-Committee include:
The Interlinking of all courts across the country.
ICT enablement of the Indian judicial system.
Enhancing judicial productivity.
Making the justice delivery system accessible, cost-effective, transparent, and accountable.
Providing citizen-centric services.

As Phase-II will soon conclude, the draft vision document for Phase III is prepared. This draft Vision Document outlines an inclusive, agile, open, and user-centric vision for courts in Phase III of the e-Courts Project.

Phase III envisions digital courts that deliver justice as a service to all, beyond simply replicating offline processes digitally. The use of technology in the judiciary is therefore guided by two facets central to Gandhian thought—access and inclusion. In addition, the core values of trust, empathy, sustainability, and transparency provide the guardrails for achieving the founding vision.

Building over the advancements made in Phases I & II of the project, this document articulates the need to exponentially advance the digitization of courts by (a) simplifying procedures, (b) creating a digital infrastructure, and the (c) establishment of the right institutional and governance framework, such as technology offices at various levels to enable the judiciary to appropriately employ technology. It articulates key goals for putting in place the digital infrastructure and services for Phase III.

This vision document envisions a platform architecture for technology that will enable diverse digital services to further evolve over time at scale. It also is designed to take an ecosystem approach that leverages the existing capacities in different stakeholders such as civil society leaders, universities, practitioners, and technologists to realise this future.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India has called for comments, suggestions, and inputs on the draft vision document for its 3rd phase of the e-Courts Project from all its stakeholders to refine and plan the implementation of the next phase of the e-Courts Project.

The last date to receive inputs is 31st May 2021.

to reduce contradiction people don't believe in courts matter because it's lengthy process but still approach to courts in causal matter it's nothing but waste of court time so by help of technology why not try to sort out pending cases eg it's long procedure cause fair justice judge/lawyer/police/party& society if those who r interested to sorting cases direct by e-court (judge&party) those who believe that from both parties one will definitely into results in taluka/district level

To get E-Courts, basic master data can be started by digitalization of all land records with the owner details this should be linked with individual AADHAR Card. As per the records available in all courts. We have ensure the transparency while digitizing this process and invent a fool proof system, before we make it LIVE. Before master data is LIVE multiple authorities has to take the responsibility of the data authenticity. Although this is challenging job. This will be helpful in long run.

4. Kindly reforms the laws and punishment. expenses on state commission case comes around 60-70 thousand wherein court award just 20-25 thousand. Culprits have no fear of court. Reform the law keeping in mind the duration of next 50 years. 5. Appeals should be prioritized so that case can be closed logically soon possible. 6. Get rid of unwanted paper work and use online system. It will expedite the justice and reduce the usage of papers 7. Police stations must be aligned to courts.

Dear Sir.. I want to put forth some points - 1. I would suggest first to get the will power generated amongst the officers to serve the people. 2. All courts must be interconnected. E.g. Even State commission and National commission not connected. If any of court hears any matter they must be able to see the list of cases filed against that person. This will help to get rid of lenient view against the opponent. 3. Lack of speedy justice which is root cause of everything.

Cost-efficient Model: We can build a small system for a specific purpose. Like camera detection, will cast around 5-6 thousand with a complete setup, including computer and camera. we need custom hardware attachments for the cost-efficient model. Everyone doesn't need 50 thousand rs computer. most of the time it's just a vase of energy, and money. people use only 1-8% of CPU power.
