If there is work from home for government employees, most of the traffic will be reduced. Asking employees to do volunteering work for government will increase the economy, as we are eager to sit in those powerful seats, once in a while. If Private employees get the chance to, say, manage traffic on saturday and sundays, repairing computers in govt offices, Doing the RTO related works, driving buses around, we would definitely do it. Change of environment is always good, on saturday, sunday.

Instead of 1 day, there should be reduction calculation for 1 week. Use of Public transport should be increased. Increase use of CNG.
For long term, Heavy traffic road routes should be identified, if possible develop train routes e.g. Aurangabad to Pune, Nashik to Pune.

One can look at the following options :
1. Making public transport absolutely free for the day . Anyone can get off or on without restrictions - no charges. People will be inclined to use Public transport not only on that day but also plan their work around free transport days for the rest of the week as well.
2. Declare certain city areas with high traffic no Pvt. vehicle zone for the day .
3. One day a week badge - for display on social media, vehicles etc.

All companies nice to follow Car Free Day just weekly once would solve traffic jam to maximum extend in city in addition to save lot of Petrol/Diesel. Once in a month 1. using public transport 2. Work from home 3. once in a week all companies strictly follow car free day and in side company perms-is no parking weekly once is not at all very hard

Strongly agree with you sir.In our country environmental pollution is very big issue,if we start to avoid our petrol/diesel vehicle for one day then this one day means very huge effort for our country. My suggestion is declared SUNDAY as CYCLING DAY when each and every citizen use CYCLE for their Sunday routine.Because of using cycle every citizen can handle their health and wealth. It's very beneficial for our health.Definitely result not come fast & it's long process but very helpful. Thank You
