Use of Bicycles to be encouraged in Cities for within City transportation. Awareness and Public Participation to be increased by using volunteers, schools. Schools can have a huge impact on the way future can be. Children can be taught about the harms of fossil fuels and they can educate their parents also. This will improve health of our citizens also. This is no longer an option we can live with and think about it in the future. Separate cycle lanes in the cities maybe of help if possible.

In our country, Friday is the day in which most of the people excluding daily commuters do not travel. So, many of the public transport vehicles(buses) in cities are vacant.Government transportation bodies have to tie up with some corporate companies to pick and drop their employees by using the buses which are vacant on every Friday. So, that the employees will avoid using Petrol/Diesel use for one day in a week.

While it is an admirable step by the Our Hon’ble Prime Minister that however does not tackle the true root cause as to why people prefer private transportation of companies provide transportation. lets face facts the quality of public transport across the country is deplorable over stressed and of substandard in quality and operation. IF that is addressed you eliminate the need for personal transport.

If we want to encourage to avoid petrol/diesal use for one day in a week then we should spread awareness in school and colleges between children and students because small age people are good listeners and followers and they will also make pressure on their parents to avoid use of petrol diesal one day in a week.

Allow working from home option for a day n mandatory ban of old vehicles, day off for 2 days a month for all cars, bus, lorries,so that we can have less fuel consumed n less pollution. Avoid over loaded vehicles. Maximise public transport convenience. Instead of big busses running nearly empty she in off peak hours, use small busses as they will reduce fuel consumption and minimises traffic jams which can cut down fuel consumption. In major junctions try non stop roads without signal
