on trial basis, if vehicle of particular colour is kept out of road, then in 7 days in a week almost every vehicle will be out of road. Thus less use of petrol/ Diesel. Above that, there will be a community of vehicle owners in respective area/ institution, who will conveniently accommodate his/ her colleague one day in every week at least to & fro office/ place of work.

Provide free cycle to all our people's or at least age lesser than 50. Then they will automatically start using. Because now in India only school students are using these cycle. Remove or reduce the bike parking area or increase cycle area. Provide importance to cycle holders

every week a common day like Sunday should be selected wherein its a public holiday hence most people will stay back home, if any body wants to travel should strictly use public or local transport only.
all petrol pumps and other gas stations should not be allowed to give petrol on that day...

Dedicated cycling track is most essential in all the cities. Youths of this country are very keen to use cycle in cities to save environment. Please give top priority to this and see how it will work.

First Government should BAN all officials from using their official vehicles for their private and family use.In fact the Government should stop buying or hiring vehicles except for select users.Others should travel by Public Transport or use Registered Taxis with Online monitoring of usage. The payments towards usage should be credited online to the Vendor.Subsidy should be reimburse to Bicycles buyers bank account.New Smart Cities or Smart Areas in older cities with dedicated bicycle track

The Employees working in IT sector in India is very huge in number. If we observe their commute to office and return, would be self-driven car with no passenger. There could be only the owner who uses this vehicle too.If we consider the entire IT crowd in India, the consumption of fuel is huge per day.One of the suggestion that I would like to propose is to encourage Home office or work from home (WFH) option once or twice a week in any manner. This would really reduce the fuel consumption

To avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel, we have to adhere travel in buses who are all working. Pollution control Board #MyGov should take action those industries/company using generator for daily electric supply for their requirement.
Traffic less roadways also reduce the usage of petrol/diesel and also control the pollution.
Use electric vehicle and motivate people to buy it and also manufacture it.

I am so glad that the PM has voiced this. I have been following "bus day" once a week in Pune, when I strictly use public transport. It takes me twice amount of time (indeed public transport is bad in India!). However it makes me feel good that I am doing something concrete and not just complaining.
I saw many comments that say how difficult it is or that others should do it first, etc. Gandhiji said "be the change you want to see in the world". Try it - I promise you it will be good!

All facility of free petrol/diesel which is provided to all Member of Parliament/ Member of State Assemblies and other local political leaders along with government officer should be stopped for a day in a week. This day should be fixed e.g. Monday or Friday or Sunday. They should present them as roll model for not using petrol/diesel one day in a week. High light it and mass will follow them.
