During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

1. Make arrangement of free cycle stands at required places. 2. Encourage people to use cycle rickshaws instead of auto rickshaw. 3. Promote electric rickshaws for public transport. 4. Do something for betterment of local trains in Mumbai. Many peoples are travelling by road just because of present condition of local trains.

if the roads are good, automatically the fuel consumption will low.The NH33 from Ranchi to Jamshedpur is being build since 2012. Unable to understand why no ministry could do any progress to expedite the work. NH 32 within Jharkhand area is also in very bad shape but in Bengal the same road is good. Why this step motherly tratment to Jharkhand?

Sir, I admit it, This is the best suggestion for save fuel. But alternatively bicycle can be use if our Govt. make a separate road allocation for bicycle for road safety. Thank you.
