During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

Sir, I personally feel that this initiative to avoid using petrol/diesel once a week can only work if this suggestion is emphasised on Big corporatess. In my role I can work from home quite easily but to do that I have to go through two levels of approval which is a headache so I just let it be. If the suggestion is more a recommendation from yourself Modiji to say all MNC's then its more workable. The intent of the citizen is there sir but the companies we work for have to enable it.

We are. With this , we want to have a green world to live. Eliminating pollution at least a little. Better to have Friday as a non vehicle day. Thus helps in reducing pollution and helping our earth

It my suggestion to promote more e-bike (2 Wheelers) by two methods: By increasing subsidy secondly making a special lane for these e-bike (Left most side of road). This will have special pride feeling for e-bikers. This I have seen in China and this scheme i working well. Regarding bike for its efficient its myths as no problem comes except very low maintenance. I am driving these vehicle since 6.5 year as position I ham holding Asst. Manager in my company and encouraging others to use it.

Cont>>>> The people who use cycles can be registered using their AADHAR number while renting the bicycle. At the end of the month, each city with such facility can organize a LUCKY DRAW (similar to LUCKY GRAHAK YOJANA) where 5-10 people who used bicycles can be awarded with a cash prize and a certificate of appreciation. This will surely encourage everyone just like it did for the Digital Payments drive.

1. Encouraging famous personalities linked to various govt. schemes to follow this steps. People get more influenced from them rather than from commoners. 2. Asking bureaucrats and minsters to follow this tradtion and ask them to start the same in their dept. 3. Setting up of govt aided centralized cycle shops at various places in cities which lend cycle to the commuters either on daily bases or a monthly pass. Cycles can be rented from any shop and submitted on any shop after use. Cont>>>>

I fully support this initiative, we need to start somewhere and one day a week makes lot of contribution towards reducing pollution. Give incentives for both Automobile industry and people to go for battery operated vehicles. Install charging stations similar to petrol filling stations which will add plenty of jobs. Muncipal corporations have to quickly start taking control over roads which are occupied by street vendors and encroachers and take responsibility.

we can establish cycle on rent facility at various - various places (specially 5-10 KM near office areas) within metro cities. advantage:this would reduce pollution this would empower people the eco-friendly business of cycles, provide employment also. people would become healthy through this exercise. various bi-cycle competition can be reduced. essential use of vehicle can be arranged to boost it up in public #PCRA, #MPNG, #MyGov #Narendramodi
