During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

1. First of all, it should be made compulsory for government officers to use public transport rather their own vehicle. And if not possible pooling system to be done in government offices. As large number of persons have car working in government offices(state & central). 2. Next, Focus should be on green fuels like CNG rather than diesel. 3. Even in private offices it is to be told to use much of public transport. Because public transport is burning fuel so why to burn fuel for private cars.

My idea is very simple ...announce public holiday once a week. This day should be declared as petrol / diesel use prohibition day and persons who takes out vehicles on that day can be fined within permissible limits with few exceptions like health emergencies, ambulances and for public officials rank equal to ministers. Persons citing health issues sholud be fined first and refunded later after showing necessary documents

V.Mataram Modi jee, 20,000 crores of revenue loss needs to be made up for, in order to make U.P. alcohol-free. This revenue loss can be made up for, by taxing luxury hotels, SUVs, Non-veg food, Petrol, entertainment centers like multiplexes, etc. By taxing such non-essential services/products, revenue losses due to ban on intoxicating substances, can be compensated. Making U.P., a dry state is very much possible, certain strong, wise steps need to be taken. We all wait for the great day!

V. Mataram Modi ji, The problem is aggravated, due to the fact that physical/ outdoor activities of our children have come to a standstill, due to cell phones/internet, etc. Hence, lesser physical activity, coupled with junk food, is a lethal combination! This problem is all more aggravated, due to sedentary lifestyle of children due to cell phones, internet, etc.

Vande Mataram Modi jee, PM has rightly attacked wastage of food stuff, in Man ki Baat. Similar attack is needed against lavish, wasteful, extravagant, ceremonies & weddings, etc. People who marry in simple, low-cost ceremonies, must be awarded & encouraged, by giving them incentives, & public felicitation. Simple, wholesome, natural food, like sattu, sprouted whole cereals, dalia, etc., need to be promoted, in order to give people, an opportunity of healthy, food habits & living.

There are some of the thing I am willing to suggest to make people avoid petrol for a day in a week: - we can restrict the vehicle with, even a single empty seat (calling it pooling day). - if possible reduce the prices of CNG public transports for a day or increase the petrol price for that day. - for that day we can provide rental cycles for free.& develop an app to inform about there locations and availability.

TO ENCOURAGE/MOTIVATE THE MASSES TO AVOID PETROL/DIESEL USE FOR ONE DAY IN A WEEK, WE CAN CHOOSE THE SUNDAY FOR THIS ACTIVITY BECAUSE SUNDAY IS THE HOLIDAY FOR MOST OF THE INDIAN’S, & WE HAVE TO PROMATE THE USE OF E-RICKSHA OR CNG VECHILE. ON SUNDAY PEOPLE TAKE REST OR GO FOR THE ENJOYMENT IN ORDER TO FULL FILL THIS NEED WE CAN INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PARKS & GARDEN TO THE LOCALITY, WHICH WILL BE ALSO USE FULL FOR THE GREEN INDIA
