The Govt. of India has set-up a High Level Committee (HLC) of experienced persons and experts under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Shanta Kumar, to recommend restructuring of Food Corporation of India (FCI) with a view to improving its operational efficiencies and financial management.

The constitution of the High Level Committee by the Government of India and its terms of reference are placed in the public domain at FCI website: www.fciweb.nic.in  

General Public and stake-holders including professionals, academicians, scientists, NGOs/institutions, self-help groups, co-operatives, farmer bodies/associations, rice/ flour millers, handling & transport contractors, government bodies etc. in the field of food management, agriculture, storage, warehousing, supply chain and logistics etc. are hereby solicited to send their suggestions on restructuring of the Food Corporation of India.

Suggestions are also invited to reorient the role of FCI in Minimum Support Price operations, storage and distribution of foodgrains and food security systems of the country.

Views may also be given with regard to integration of supply chain of foodgrains in the country, suggesting most efficient model for storage and least cost option of moving grains alongwith tracking of carriage. Views on
models of scientific storage and upgradation of technology in management of foodgrains are also welcome.

It was a common news that goods from FCI godowns were taken to other places other than ration dealers.By introducing GPS in the contract carriages of FCI for monitoring the movement of goods to and from FCI godown this problem can be eliminated to a large extend.If the inland waterways are developed in states such as Kerala,supply stocks could be transferred in containers to godowns near boat jetty's.If also the road transportation can be made in containers these may be sealed to prevent theft.

Apart from Conventional godown Silos also have to be constructed for the storage of food grains.The quantity of food grains can be monitored using level measuring instruments and moisture can be monitored using portable moisture meters.By this wastage of food grains due to unforseen conditions can be avoided.By installing a packing machine the grains to be dispatched can be packed and transferred to vehicles via conveyor belts thus a monitoring and controlling of inputs and outputs.

sir mera naam vishram gupta hai mai apka dyan is desh ki sabse badi problem ki or dikhana chahunga jise ignore kiya ja raha hai. Hamare desh ki sabse badi problem aj jo vo hai badti hui population, is ki aur koi dyan nahi diya ja raha hai. Is desh main aj jo bhi problem hai uska sirf ek hi karan hai Population. Mai prime minister ji se ye umid karta hu ki is important promblem ki or dene or isse rokne ke liye koi thosh kadam uthange kyon aur anne wale sansad ke satra me koi bill jarur le ke aye

1) Construction of new godown with new latest technolgy which are more stronger, maximum capacity, lower cost, long life, shorted period of construction. China Company making buidlng, which we can use for godown. 2) Change of Corporation to Public Limited Ltd.-100% Govt. control based company. 3) Public issue of shares of the company to earn fund to build the godowns and other centers in all over India for the development of FCI. 4) To promote al Indian Farmers for shareholder in this company.

1. Set 'distribute by' dates for PDS to pick up FCI stocks, use IT to enable workflow and supply chain mangement 2. Next set 'sell by' dates for auctioning stocks to whole-sellers and stockists; the profit can reduce subsidies; again use e-auction/ at the same time allow derivative trade of non-staple food 3. Whatever remains would be waste and cannot be consumed by humans, for those stocks launch online auction of old FCI stocks that can be used as cheap animal feed 4.Destroy whatever remain

Not only FCI this whole nation needs to be restructured. Things are not in control in any department. Modi ji has a great opportunity but also a huge challenge. This country needs overhauling and cosmetics will do no good. First priority should be to establish rule of law which stands compromised every where and Modi ji alone can not do it. Each one of us need to stand tall and get counted else things will move from bad to worst. Hope we do it before it is too late.

Dear PM, reservation in higher level should be ban as higher level education should be purely on merits. Also government administration people's should be selected on merits.

Food for all. Govt should have a programme, to provide 200 gms of chipped rice packed with 50 grams of sugar or jagri (ready to eat) with one boiled egg or a banana for every person below poverty line across the country through angan badi or midday meal programme. This also can be made more transparent by having distribution through Adahar Card or production of voters identity card. This will actually ensure minimum quantity of food to the needy and poor persons of the whole country for survival
