Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

Sir, Baal aadhar should also be issued by UIDAI on the basis of confirmation of insertion in citizen database by registrar general as per amended act.

This idea looks good but the idiots will question its intent, they will make hue and cry that it’s indirect NRC and I bet you will have get negligible success with Muslims as far as birth is concerned but yes they will report deaths religiously to get benefits from govt and insurance companies

This is the first time that the government of West Bengal has opened a website for the general public where new birth registration, death registration, late birth certificate, birth certificate correction, etc. can be done. As a result, ordinary people will benefit a lot. Although this could have been done earlier in the district, you can easily access this new portal. Read the details

hospital itself has to provide letter regarding the birth of child to the municipal authority. apart from this for the fast enrolment seals envelope may be given to parent for the birth of the new born child...ahe. the question arises of birth only court after inquiry be permitted for getting direction to enrolment of name in book of record

1.Register instantly Birth & Death at hospital and provide certificate and remove affidavit requirements. (Online/Offline) 2.Provide Monetary incentive Rs.50 for each Birth and death registration. 3.Link each and every birth and dath with person father and mother Aadhar. 4.Penalty provision for applicants and authorities. 5.Birth and Death Registration awareness campaign like Polio mission of India.
