Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

Respected Modi ji, it is the right time to digitise the birth certificates of all our citizens in toto. It may take few years. But it will be a record for our country.

In case of Birth and Death, Citizen should inform about the event within 21 days to the registrar of their jurisdiction. In case Death, citizen should place Doctor’s certificate in original form along with burial/cremation.

My gov should be government authentic social platform which should be recognised by all other government with validity of My gov certificate.

Hon.ble Prime Minister the recently introduced Bharath Ayushman Digital Mission will help and can be utilised for the birth and death certificates registration. So the digital India mission is needed in this regisration process through online. It eliminatrs to go to the Govt office inu person.Also it simlifies the regisration process through online along with the evidences fromhospital and burial certificate from the mortuary. The Author card mey be used to identfy the applicants data portal.

जन्म सर्टिफिकेट के ऊपर डॉक्टर के अलावा बच्चे की पीता की वि हस्ताख्यर होनी चाहिए । इसमें कई भविष्य की मुस्किल को समाधान हो सकता है ।
