Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

Having proper data of birth rate helps government to make policy and benefit people. It also reduce fake certification of birth date of children. Digital copy of birth certificate make it available easily for people. Great step for the future. Jai Hind🇮🇳🇮🇳

the thought came 2 mind, 4accurate valid data of birth &death in case of illigal migration it happens in r country so-if u see the cast certificate records need forefathers documents egवंशावळ, 7/12,तलाठी/तालुका, by village panchayat &aadhar card r recent documents even scan human body but can't show ancestry so -this card link with ancestry documents in india it may have &in case of illigal migration they just have aadhar card by politician so ancestors birth place at least by 70yr cn

insert at Section 8- Persons required to register births and deaths 1) The registrar While registering & issuing death certificate all national ID like Aadhar, Pan card, Passport, Ration card, Driving licence, mobile number etc must be recorded and communicated to respective agencies for immediate cancellation. 2) Whie issuing a birth certificate The Registrar must issue a temporary Aadhar ID for the child which can get converted to Aadhar ID on request in future.
