The trio of Benoy, Badal and Dinesh
Benoy Basu, Badal Gupta and Dinesh Gupta were 22, 18 and 19 years old respectively when they wore European outfits and entered the Writer's Building. Their target was the brutal Inspector General of Police, Colonel NS Simpson. They succeeded in killing him but were outnumbered by the pose. Benoy took a cyanide pill while the other two shot themselves to avoid capture. It takes more than guts to pull off something like this.

Name: Dukribala Devi
She had been the first female fighter to be arrested and convicted under the infamous Arms Act.
She was born on July 21,1887 at Jhautala village of Birbhum,West bengal.
Contribution: Her brother-in-law Nibaran Ghatak had been associated with the armed rebellion for quite a long time. She was inducted into it by Bipin Behari Ganguly, a renowned freedom fighter. On 26 August 1914, 50 German Mussar pistols and a large number of cartridge boxes sent for the Rada Company in Calcutta were looted from Calcutta Airport.A large part of the looted pistols and cartridges came and fell in Jhaupara. Dukribala took the responsibility to take care of everything. But the end was not saved. She was arrested by the police in 1917 on charges of possession of firearms. She was sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment.
Motto of life: " If you can sacrifice your lives for the country, so can your women "
The great freedom fighter passed away on April 28, 1970.

One of the freedom fighters is Birsa Munda.
He was born on 15 November 1875 in Ranchi and died on 9 June, w900 in Ranchi Central Jail.
He was a tribal freedom fighter, religious leader and folk hero who belonged to the Munda tribe. He had challenged the Christian missionaries and revolted against the conversion activities along with the Munda and Oraon communities. Birsa Munda's slogan threatening the British Raj—Abua raj ete jana, maharani raj tundu jana ("Let the kingdom of the queen be ended and our kingdom be established")—is still remembered in areas of Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh. Due to a rumor that those who didn't follow Birsa would be massacred, Birsa was arrested on 24 August 1895 and sentenced to two-year imprisonment. On 28 January 1898, after being released from jail he went with his followers to Chutia to collect the record and to re-establish racial links with the temple. He said that the temple belonged to the Kols.
