As part of the 'Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, a series of events are being organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Through this MyGov activity, we aim to revisit history and acknowledge our local heroes whose struggles during the Freedom Movement have not received prominence in the conventional storyline. Let's raise awareness about our freedom struggle & the unsung heroes associated with it. It’s time that the contributions of fighters like Veer Gundandhur, Velu Nachiyar, Bhikaji Cama, etc. see the light of the day.

This is your chance to tell the story that must be told and honour the freedom fighters who have played an important role in making our nation free.

असम सरकार को अनुरोध किया है कि सरकारी नौकरी के Teacher का वेतन कम करके हम बेरोजगारों को 3000 रुपये मासिक भुगतान करके नौकरी दे सकते हैं। स्कूल के शिक्षकों को यह 70 /80 हजार रुपये मिलता है। 70 /80 हजार रुपये से यह बढ़ गया है 30 से 40. वे बेरोजगार हैं मैं सरकार से जल्द से जल्द यह उपाय करने का आग्रह करता हूं। उसे आठ रुपये देने की क्या जरूरत है? असम में बहुत से बेरोजगार हैं। मुझे थोड़ा पैसा दो। हमें 3000 रुपये में नौकरी दो। हमारे पास मेट्रिक पास है

Gupta, Badal (1912-1930) revolutionary martyr. Badal Gupta's original name was Sudhir Gupta. He was born at the village of Purba Shimulia of vikrampur in Dhaka district. His father's name was Abani Gupta. The feeling of patriotism became strong in him after coming in touch with Nikunja Sen, a teacher of the Banaripara School of Vikrampur. At his inspiration, Badal joined the revolutionary organisation Bengal Volunteers (BV) as a member. Within a short time he was promoted to the post of lieutenant from a member by virtue of his activities. Badal, along with benoy krishna basu and dinesh chandra gupta, carried out an armed attack on the Writers’ Building in calcutta on 8 December 1930 and shot dead the Inspector General of Prison, NS Simpson. Some other Europeans also got injured in the raid. In order to avoid arrest, the three young men attempted suicide by taking potassium cyanide, chanting Vande Mataram (Hail Mother, in Sanskrit). Badal died on the spot and was sent to the hospital

T Chengalvaroyan is the known freedom fighter from Chennai. He has participated in the freedom movements. He also member of the free India in so many key areas like 1. Member of the Congress movements 2. Close association with Nehru 3. Member Congress working Committee 4. Member of Parliament 5. Mayor of Madras corporation who passed a resolution to keep Madras in Tamilnadu during bifurcated of states. 6. Renowned Advocate of Madras Bar association 7. Close associate of Nehru indira Gandhi, Kamaraj Annadurai, MGR and Karunanidhi. 8. Good orator in English and Tamil which reflected in Parliament and in Elections. 9. Good samaritan.
