Lack of livelihood opportunities for tribal people is one of the chief causes of their backward status as compared with the other social groups. This issue is aggravated by the high rate of displacements faced by tribal people due to various industrial projects etc., which also causes loss of livelihood for them among other things. This Ministry has been taking various steps for facilitating sustainable livelihood for tribal populations in different sectors. Stress has been given on vocational education and formal technical education for tribal youth. States are being encouraged to take upskill development initiatives for tribal youth with at least 50% of such activities to be oriented for women.

Through MyGov, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs seeks suggestions/information from all sections of the society regarding various livelihood possibilities for tribal people, availability of skilled/unskilled manpower still unemployed, various traditional skills available with the tribal population, new trends and interests among tribal youth, corresponding skilling needs and possibilities etc.

Dear PM, We are using plastic plates/cups in social functions. This is polluting the environment as the collection is not happening. I am born and brought up in Jharkhand. There we used 'Thalis' and other items made of tree leaves. Our tribal population is involved in this business. So promoting this across India will help our tribal people in economic development. Also ban plactics/panni, it is destructing our environment.

Honourable Prime Minister Shri N.D.Modi, Respected Sir, I would like to thank you for introducing biometric attendance in Govt Offices. I would also like to intimate you that employees still taking lunch time as 1.30 to 3.30 pm. Who are staying in nearby quarters are marking their attendance and going back home. identify the specialty of each tribal area like their skill, art and craft, main vegetation in their jungles, quality of soil suitable for which crop, fruit, vegetables, present livelihood & how to improve the current one, Introduce clean energy in tribal area and after identifying these parameters of each tribal area then the targets be made to focus on them by the state and union govt.so that those specialty is developed to increase their livelihood.

Sir. I have a few suggestions. I think India's tourism sector can provide them immense livelihood opportunities. They can help the industry identify beautiful and fresh places that can be developed for natural tourism. They can employed as wildlife tourist guides. Since they are of tribal origin, tourists can be given authentic information and be shown around. They need to be given vocational training as tourist guides and must be taught spoken English and Hindi.

Sir, start a tribal cell for every 500/1000 population. Have an integrated approach to them in all fields. The Centre should be a place for crafting and cottage industry. Simultaneously women can be given health and. Nutrition education. Find deficient nutrition in each area and alleviate them by providing supplements. Make transport infra good so that forest products could be brought to storage godowns as soon as possible.

Simple two Room with toilet bath. Litt5courtyard. Drinking water.and light.Gobar gss for cooking Solar panel for three bulbs and two light. Educational facility,Dispensary.

Sir, though formal education may not be necessary for all, a few from the community should be educated and placed as nodal / point's persons to work with the community. They should have access to e-marketing through local RDO's or post offices through which they can sell their produce. The government can play its role by creating a dedicated site and assist those who seek with design & marketing assistance from professionals, especially to fine tune products for export markets.

Sir, the first requirement would be to preserve their land, give them opportunities to grow native herbs, collect honey & make jewellery - some of which have a great market, shawls, mats & pottery - again have a good local & export market. They need genuine interlocutors who will not cheat them and will work for their benefit. They can also rear cattle and can be taught to make varieties of cheese, which again have a good market. Their rough carpentry work & paintings also have value.
