Give out special permits for buses connecting cities to nearby tourist spots. These permits -tourliner permits- can be used only for tourliner buses- comfortable high end tourist coaches with a certain minimum standard of build. This will introduce a new class of road connectivity to these places, which operate like stage carriages but are luxurious. Healthy competition will be created in the tourist bus segment which is otherwise dominated by shady players

Direct air connectivity is still very poor to most tourist spots e.g. Jaisalmer. While it is too expensive to build large airports, small airstrips capable of taking ATR or Embraer jets may be considered. This will lower costs and enable regional jets to connect these places with major hubs.

Build long funicular railways to connect hill stations such as Matheran and Saputara. Funiculars use very little energy, are safe and very ecofriendly as they use less land. They go straight up the slope of the hill. These can also be used for goods transport. The funiculars can connect directly to to railway stations at the foot of the hill.

Introduce seamless connectivity to tour spots. For example hourly AC trains starting from Tirusulam Airport station in Chennai to Tirupati, and an aerobridge connecting airport to station will enable pilgrims from North to smoothly transit via Chennai to Tirupati.

Prioritise roads connecting popular tourist destinations in NHAI program. For example, Chennai is well connected to Bangalore, Kolkata and Trichy by 4/6 lane road but the road to Tirupati is still 2 lane. Given the traffic, toll revenues on this road will anyway be good. SImilarly, Mysore-Coorg is also 2 lane. Prioritise 4 or 6 laning these roads via EPC or PPP route

Trinkets , artifacts, mementoes should be available at the site. Then, one should have the facility to give an address and have it couriered/parcelled to any location in India and abroad. And yes, payment by credit cards/debit cards/mobile phones !

Wifi ( free or for a fee ) should be mandatory at each and every site. Ppl can send photos, videos or simply download information about the site.

It should be compulsory for each site to offer an a ) audio download , wifi to be made available , about the site and/or b) a headphone and tape recorder with information, that one can take along as a guide to the site.
