The city has to solve the water problems. Water crisis in summers should not continue especially because of the narmada project.

There must be a solution for the traffic problem at Kotcha Chowk everyday during office dispersals. Also there should be a solution for the "infected water" being transported to the homes and elsewhere. This water is leading to the growth of white patches on the citizen's face. I too suffer from it and doctors have said that it's difficult to get rid of it as it is in the very water used for bathing, drinking etc. All treatments have proved to be a failure.

Also proper planning needs to be in place to prevent an unreal skyrocketing of real estate prices, because of the lions share of valuable real estate falling into the hands of a few. The city development corporation should have a sustainable housing/industrial development plan ranging over atleast 25 years.

The city should also have a combined tourism package engrossing its various strengths around Historical landmarks, Arts (performing arts, native forms like Dayro etc.), traditional industry showcase (jewelry, silk etc.)

Rajkot should not succumb to the ill fate of other cities in India which grew faster than it could contain and provide for- Hence a long term urban planning in terms of Infrastructure and waste/drainage management should go hand in hand with growth

Rajkot being a fast growing city, its growth plan should incorporate and accommodate ways of growing greener and cleaner, by cutting carbon emissions and maintaining a green cover
