Any smart city should also have a low criminal activity. A good governance model and proper CCTV coverage system should be installed in the city to take care of the law and order situation.

Rajkot's overstressed power grid is one of the most obvious signs of lagging infrastructure development and plans should be made to upgrade it accordingly. Gujarat is blessed with good solar energy and that can be exploited and used meaningfully.

To also become a smart city, Rajkot also need high speed internet in this age of information technology. Also proper 8 lane roads are required to connect Rajkot with major cities and ports in the area. Gujarat has a rich coast line and we need to use it to our advantage

Traffic and population are major concerns for Rajkot. With an over-burgeoning population, road ways and apartment need to be planned correctly for it to be a smart city in the future
