Higher education cannot sustain only through public funding. While public private partnerships in higher education have been pursued as a strategy, not many have shown successful results. Hence, the PPP models need to be revisited so as to allow more meaningful collaborations. A critical analysis of PPP in HE , the existing legal provisions and which viable models are possible need to carried out.

Developed Countries like Germany, Japan, USA, UK hold ground because School Education is Public Schools only, there is no need of Private Schools at all. It is a business which is like a cancer in the Indian Society, If you change this part of the education sector, I believe the problems can be solved at a central level of each district/municipality/state and more. This i think is a biggest hurdle if change has to be seen in REALITY. Thanks

I think that before joining hands with the public sector it must be assured that already many loopholes exists within the private institutions. the teaching faculty and students are looted and heavy profits are earned by the private institutes.Private help can be taken for training the students for the meaningful projects and skills. Even teacher training programs can be held. The govt. schools must not be handed over to private players, they must give economic help to govt schools.

In Private MNC's employees are bound to spend a robotic life in front of computer/machines, which beneifit a single/group of person, and is often against the nature, so these MNC's should be encouraged to plan in such a way that people get employed in their home town and spend a nature friendly life in front of natural soil, natural greenery, which beneifits common man of the village, thus contribute in nation building..Every Private companies should fulfill this responsibilty towards India...

A really simple way to 'force' a partnership would be to structure academics' compensation based on student salary outcomes. It encourages professors to nurture students who are valuable to the industry.

Please look into this: Cheating (in schools and colleges)-an undocumented social evil I first observed cheating in 2nd class and since then i have noticed it in every class (even in IIT-a prime institute- from where i graduated). It is a pan-India issue. ISSUES ATTACHED: degenerates the moral fabric of the society & acts as training period of modern day corruption; affects the quality of graduates; breeds cut and paste culture; hampers original thinking and innovation; no incentive to merit.

Me and my friends had an intense debate on whether a minimum education criteria should be set up for people contesting elections in India. While setting up a criteria would leave out many candidates who otherwise would have been good representatives of their people, why not set up a minimum qualification exam that every elected candidate has to pass, say two years after getting elected, which should ensure they atleast know how to read and write?
