Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

Hi, There are many many able bodied beggar's are on road, who spend all the time begging, it would be glad if the government could create some facility where these people could be employed to do work and earn money, so encourage dignity of labour and empowering them.

It is extremely essential that we preserve the culture of tribes in India. For ensuring effective preservation and nurturing of the culture of tribes, it is essential that we scientifically develop and document Tribal Culture. Using the existing knowledge of domain of Social Capital, we may capture Tribal Culture and share it with the world. This must be dome at earliest, as globalization is alarmingly distorting tribal culture. Scientific study through research and case studies are suggested.

actually the government do not want to fix this issue that is why it is not fixe till date after 65 years of independence of this country. The political system of our country is not clear and transparent that is why the this is issue is issue till now and it will be issue until this gunnda gardi political system will be alive in this country because we fight election on the basis of issues so issue should be there to become NETA. If we can go to the moon then why could not solve this issue.

This issue may be solved if we can find out the main contributing factors responsible for tribal education. They may be summerised as economic status, family size, availability of educational facility, scope of job after education like short term courses, tribal entrepreneurship promotion etc. Those who have even got the opportunity of higher education, still they are not seriously participating in education, research and innovation. So improve & attracting innovative tribals may be awarded etc.

This issue has been discussed and debated for decades and yet remain as one of the major hindrance among the tribal communities. The child's and parent's ambiguous notions around school education should be addressed in first place. This can be achieved by teaching the students in their native language and using the objects that they everyday see and feel, instead of universally imposed learning materials. This way, authorities can break the jinx among students and create interest in education.

Present community leaders of various tribes in India are pathetic. Their entire focus is on various stone age rules governing the lives of tribal people. If counseling is provided to tribal students through active and educated community channels then dropouts can be reduced.

One reason for dropout is that majority of tribal are first generation of school-goers in their family. This lack of background results in lack of awareness. With middle school education they feel like doing too much and focus on finding some job. Many tribals live in remote villages where there is no basic amenities. In those kind of places non one can find motivation to study further.
