Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

TRIBES OF INDIA HAVE THE BEST SOCIAL SYSTEM IN THE WORLD.TRIBES OF INDIA EQUAL TO PRIME MINISTER"S AGE HAS GREATER INTELLECT THAN PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA. TRIBES MAY NOT ME LITERATE BUT THEY ARE FAR MORE EDUCATED THAN SO CALLED CIVILIZED SOCIETY OF INDIA. TRIBES MUST NOT BE TREATED AS INCAPABLE DECISION MAKERS.FINANCE COMMISSION SHOULD DIRECTLY TRANSFER THE FUND TO THE FAMILIES OF TRIBES AND NOT THEIR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES WHO ARE BASTARDS.HOPE TO SEE BRIGHT FUTURE FOR TRIBES IN MODI ERA.

Greatly concerned about the big dam hydropower projects in the Northeast tribal areas, which will submerge massive forest and agriculture lands. Case in point Arunachal, except the Siang river, we should redesign ALL the HEPs with hundreds hi tech micro units instead of few dozen large. Invite Canadian companies to invest, who have perfected zero impact environmental tech with very smart ideas. Ex Run of River Inc. of British Columbia who have worked with the First Nations native people Canada.

1. Developing infrastructure in the tribal areas. 2. Equipping the residential schools with the required number of teachers and ensure that they are taking up the classes regularly. Strict action should be taken for their absenteeism. 3. Parents should be provided with enough employment and wages so that they won't force the children to work along with them. 4. All kinds of motivation and education programs should be conducted in order to let know the tribals the value of education.

Make special centres which can help them earn their livelihood by doing whatever they r already expert in & connecting their art of work with new technology. The main reason for their lacking behind is distance from technology. Bring young adivasis close to internet, education & modern knowledge side by side retaining in them the cultural values they get from their family. For this books may be printed in their local lang. & teachers should be sent to them in their own regional lang.

As I would think the better solution is to provide education as near as we can. for this, we can start a new scheme ie 'Education at Home' in which we can appoint graduates or some and who can provide them a better education at nearest place. and It can resolve our two problems one is drop out rate and other is job creation. Even I am providing free classes to some students after my working hours, and I know no. of more who are doing the same. It can be increased if we initiate a move.
